Bucket Shell is an experimental bucket bag design that combines the soft volume concept of the Pearl Weave Couture series with sculptural pearl weave. In this model, the pearl is not merely an element adorning the bag's exterior; it is positioned as a key component that defines the form, controls the volume, and determines the structural language.

The body structure is created by hand-weaving selected white pearl beads of varying diameters around a soft, cream-toned textile inner pouch using high-strength, transparent monofilament fishing line. Instead of a closed, armor-like structure completely covering the surface, the pearl weave is designed with a breathable mesh architecture that leaves controlled gaps. This approach gives the bag both lightness and a three-dimensional depth.

The combination of large and small beads used on the pearl surface deliberately disrupts the classic perception of uniform brilliance. Large beads give the surface a sculptural rhythm, while small beads act as structural links connecting this rhythm. The resulting surface produces a milky and refined luster that gently diffuses light, avoiding harsh reflections.

The top form of the bag is completed with a drawstring closure, staying true to the classic bucket bag silhouette. The closure mechanism is achieved using the textile bag's own drawstring system, without the use of metal or rigid hardware. This system preserves the integrity of the pearl weave while offering easy and controlled access to the interior.

The top carrying handle is in the form of a single-piece belt made of pearl beads. The handle is optimized for the overall weight balance of the bag; it is designed with a rounded curve so that it does not create pressure when carried by hand. Additionally, the model offers the option of carrying it on the shoulder or across the body thanks to adjustable straps added to the sides.

The Bucket Shell is more than just a functional everyday bag; it's a portable couture object designed with a deliberate contrast between its soft interior and its seemingly rigid pearl exterior.
