The Ribbon Pouch is one of the most compact and jewel-infused interpretations of the Pearl Weave Couture series. In this model, the pearl weave goes beyond being merely an outer covering enveloping a soft pouch; it becomes the main structural element that defines the bag's overall perception, proportions, and relationship with light.
The body of the bag is constructed by hand-weaving selected natural white pearl beads of varying shapes and diameters onto transparent monofilament fishing line, around a soft, cream-toned satin-textured inner pouch. Instead of creating a closed, heavy block effect, the pearl surface is designed with a rhythmic, breathable lattice architecture at regular intervals. This structure gives the bag both visual lightness and a three-dimensional depth.
The combination of oval and round pearl beads used on the surface deliberately breaks the monotonous sheen of classic pearl bags. Larger, organically shaped beads create a sculptural accent on the surface, while smaller beads act like structural knots connecting these accent points. The resulting surface diffuses light with a soft, milky, and refined luster instead of harsh reflections.
The top of the bag is finished with a textile ribbon fastening system designed to complement the pearl weave. This fastening detail is not only a functional closure but also a design signature that gives the model a romantic and couture character. Created without the use of metal or rigid clasps, this structure allows controlled access to the interior volume without disrupting the integrity and fluidity of the pearl weave.
The top carrying handle is in the form of a belt woven from a single piece of pearl beads of varying diameters. The handle is balanced to suit the compact dimensions of the bag; it is designed with a rounded curve to provide an elegant yet firm grip when carried by hand.
More than a functional mini-bag, the Ribbon Pouch is a couture object on the scale of jewelry, designed with a conscious contrast between its soft interior and the sculptural pearl shell.
