Stracci Abyss , from Atelier Emine's Crystal Gelato Couture series, is a premium mini bag designed with a multi-layered crystal surface and a sculptural hobo form, and is entirely handcrafted.
The body structure is created by individually weaving crystal beads of varying cuts and volumes with high-strength fishing line, resulting in a three-dimensional texture that progresses along the surface using a principle of controlled irregularity. This technique gives the bag a vibrant yet natural refraction effect under light, while offering a couture-level depth that breaks the monotony on the surface.
Stracci's formal language is based on an organic hobo silhouette that gains volume at the base and tapers gently towards the upper axis. The body is structured in a way that consciously avoids rigid geometries, highlighting the fluid character of the crystal lattice.
The top carrying handle is made of dense crystal mesh, designed as a single piece with the body. The balance of thickness and curvature of the handle supports ergonomic carrying while maintaining the overall center of gravity of the bag. The metal rings used at the side attachment points are secured with hidden anchors to distribute the carrying load evenly.
The top section features an adjustable drawstring system. This design allows for controlled closure of the interior space without the need for a mechanical lock or zipper, offering secure use without disrupting the bag's smooth, flowing form.
The interior structure is designed with a single-compartment compact volume concept; the aim is to allow small personal items to be transported without distorting their shape. The inner layer of the body is reinforced with UV-resistant industrial epoxy to ensure the long-term form stability of the crystal lattice.
